Salt is a necessary ingredient of life. We believe theatre is a necessary ingredient of education.

Lawrence University’s Theatre Department has set out to establish a youth theatre education camp in order to bridge the gap of theatre education in Wisconsin. This weeklong, localized camp will serve elementary students with limited access to theatre programming options. This camp offers a free opportunity for young participants so as not to limit any children from participation.

Our 2025 camp is taught by 8 student-teachers – all of whom are emerging theatre creators and even some educators – and 2 LU Faculty so that our young participants can receive close attention and mentorship. This camp consists of basic theatre education, skill building, projects, and games, culminating in a showcase of the participants’ weeklong experience.

Lawrence is excited to bring you this incredible camp experience!

The application deadline is May 30—space is limited to 40 students, grades 2-5.
