Nearly 130 Lawrentians in seven Alumni Communities across the country hosted festive gatherings during December and January. Dubbed “HoLUdays” celebrations, the regional gatherings brought plenty of joy.

Dr. Ruha Benjamin, who specializes in the interdisciplinary study of science, medicine, and technology with a focus on the relationship between innovation and social inequity, will speak at Lawrence's Winter Term Convocation.

Led by Lawrence University senior Maddie Guest and a team of trivia masters, the 59th running of the Great Midwest Trivia Contest is set for Jan. 26-28. The 50-hour scavenger hunt of obscure information is steeped in tradition.

The legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.—seen in the ongoing work he helped inspire—was celebrated Jan. 15 as Lawrentians gathered with the Fox Cities community in Lawrence University’s Memorial Chapel for the 33rd Fox Cities Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration.

The 33rd Fox Cities Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration will be held Jan. 15 in Lawrence University’s Memorial Chapel. The event, set for 6 to 7:30 p.m., marks a return to an in-person celebration after several years of being held online.

Lawrence University celebrated its 10th annual Giving Day, raising $1.62 million from 2,505 donors in support of the Lawrence Fund. The support will bolster the student experience in everything from scholarships to internships to study abroad opportunities.

Lawrence University will hold its 8th annual Indigenous Peoples’ Day Celebration on Monday, Oct. 9 on Main Hall Green. The outdoor event, open to the public, is set for 5 to 7 p.m.
