Incoming students were welcomed to Lawrence University with a festive, event-filled 2023 Welcome Week.
They took part in orientation sessions, enjoyed bonfires in SLUG garden and dancing on Main Hall Green; they played outdoor games and gathered for the annual first-year dinner; they visited Appleton’s downtown for the weekly farmers' market, and they walked to the President’s Welcome through a sea of well-wishers. It all led to the start of a new academic year, with classes beginning Sept. 11.
Photographer Danny Damiani and videographer Juan Marin captured the Welcome Week excitement. See a full photo gallery of Welcome Week events here and a gallery of President’s Welcome and Move-in day photos here.
