Career Contact
Become a Career Contact if you have a passion for sharing your life and work experiences to assist current students and other alumni with career exploration and networking. No special training is required...just a desire to share your experiences with others interested in your career field, graduate school field of study, or geographic area.
To get started mentoring, join the LUAA Group on LinkedIn.
Class Leadership Team
Keep your classmates connected. Members of the Class Leadership Team serve as the principal communicators for the alumni they graduated with. The Class Leadership Team, launched in September 2016, encompasses Class Agents, Class Secretaries, Viking Gift Committee, Legacy Circle Gift Planning Chairs, and Reunion Committees. With the Class Leadership Team portal as a user-friendly tool, you will have the opportunity to select tasks such as writing a fundraising letter, collecting and curating class notes, thanking classmates for their gift to Lawrence, thanking and promoting the Lawrence-Downer Legacy Circle, and encouraging attendance at events on campus or regionally. Learn more by emailing Miyoko Grine-Fisher, Director of Annual Giving, at miyoko.grine@lawrence.edu.
Lawrence University Alumni Association (LUAA) Board of Directors
The Alumni Association is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors, whose mission is to support, perpetuate and enhance Lawrence by providing opportunities for alumni to maintain connections and serve as stewards of the university.
Give voice to our community’s deepest held values by nominating yourself or someone you know to serve on the Alumni Board.
Refer a Student
Most students who find their way to Lawrence were nudged in our direction by a trusted adult. The LU Admissions Office calls these adult “Influencers” (before Social Medial stole the term), and as an alumnus, you are the most powerful influencer of all. Therefore, perhaps the biggest gift you can give is to shine your Lawrence light brightly into the world. Talk about Lawrence with your friends and colleagues. Ask your neighbor about their college search. Refer a student to Lawrence. These individual efforts are small, but together, they are felt by our admissions colleagues and make a difference in sustaining the Lawrence community we know and love.
Regional Communities
Lawrentians are everywhere. Whether it's a social or networking event, a cultural event, or an opportunity to do some community service together, we'd love to connect you with other Lawrentians in your area. Regional Communities are making a comeback and we'd love to know if you're interested in getting involved! Regional Communities will be popping up in the Fox Cities, Milwaukee, Madison, the Twin Cities, D.C., Colorado, and Chicago. If you live in another area and there is interest, there is an opportunity to start a club there as well! Learn more about the communities here.
Reunion Committee
Help plan your Reunion! During the year leading up to your Reunion, Committees for each Reunion encourage participation in a class gift to the Lawrence Fund and attendance at reunion. They also plan specific class-related events for Reunion Weekend. For more information or to serve on your reunion committee, email alumni@lawrence.edu.
