Lawrence University is set to welcome Dr. Allison Vetter as its new director of equal opportunity compliance and Title IX coordinator. She will begin her work at Lawrence on March 1.

With the release of his book, Upbeat! Mindset, Mindfulness, and Leadership in Music Education and Beyond, Matthew Arau has elevated his work with Upbeat Global, an LLC the Lawrence music professor formed three years ago.

At the beginning of this term, Lawrence’s first electric vehicle (EV) charging station was installed in the Memorial Chapel parking lot. Capable of charging two vehicles at once, the station is fully operational and can be accessed through the ChargePoint app.

Lawrence University is launching a year-long celebration of its 175th anniversary this weekend, complete with a virtual trivia contest, a live-streamed music recital, and the opening of an online merchandise store.

When Laurie Carter began her tenure as Lawrence's new president on July 1, it marked a pivotal moment in Lawrence’s 174-year history, with faculty and students returning to the classroom after four terms of distance learning. Her first six months have focused on conversation and community.
