Incoming students arrived at Lawrence on Monday, greeted on move-in day by staff and student volunteers who spread out across campus to welcome and assist the newest Lawrentians.

The new Welcome Arch at the corner of College Avenue and Drew Street got its long-awaited reveal on Thursday. Come Tuesday, it'll help launch a new tradition with incoming students.

Cael Neary ’17, an Appleton artist, created a bright, beautiful mural in the Gender and Sexuality Diversity Center in Lawrence’s Memorial Hall. They hope it makes the space more inviting for students.

With Marvel actor Anthony Mackie joining the celebration as commencement speaker, the Lawrence community applauded 332 graduates in a beautiful Commencement ceremony on Main Hall Green.

When a music store in Racine shuttered, dozens of musical instruments were donated. Brian Pertl, dean of the Lawrence Conservatory, stepped in to help place those instruments where they'd be put to good use.

The May 13 inauguration of President Laurie A. Carter will kick off a two-day campus celebration that also honors the 175-year anniversary of the founding of Lawrence.
