A summer research project at Trout Lake in northern Wisconsin on migration patterns of the microscopic zooplankton species Daphnia brought together Lawrence students, faculty, and alumni.

Sixteen students and two biology professors spent two weeks on the Caribbean island of Bonaire doing field research. It continued a four-decade effort through the Lawrence University Marine Program (LUMP).
Two Lawrence seniors spent much of Winter Term 2022 on a voyage in the Pacific. The six weeks on a ship involved designing and carrying out oceanic research.

Senior Gaston Kaisin did summer research on climate change through an REU with Oregon State University. His work became part of the report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC).

Claire Chamberlin, a double major in global studies and French, used a research opportunity to pursue the translation of four Molière-inspired plays from French to English. Two were later performed on stage.
