Jonathan Bass, a pianist and dual-degree student in his fourth year at Lawrence University, took first place in a national piano competition organized by the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC).

Mauriah Donegan Kraker, a lecturer of dance at Lawrence University, has been selected for a prestigious month-long MacDowell Fellowship. It runs mid-March through mid-April.

Handel’s Alcina, an 18th-century baroque opera, will be set in a traveling carnival when it is presented March 2-5 by Lawrence University’s award-winning Opera Theatre program.

Bonnie Alger ’06 is the first female officer to serve as Officer-in-Charge of The United States Army Chorus, one of the military's elite performance groups. Her journey as a conductor began in the Lawrence Conservatory of Music.
