Each residence hall is unique and provides opportunities for connecting with students at different points in their journeys at Lawrence. All major residence halls offer amenities for comfortable living. Housing options and amenities include:
- Single, double, triple, and quad suites, cooperative lofts, and affinity spaces for club and organization participation
- Kitchens and lounge spaces
- Gender-inclusive, gender-specific, or mixed floors
All rooms include an XL twin bed, desk, chair, and dresser with overhead shelving.
First-Year Housing

Upper-Year Housing
Ormsby
- Single and double occupancy rooms

Plantz
- Large single and double occupancy rooms, with wide windows
- XL twin bed, desk, chair, and dresser with overhead shelving
- Community-style bathrooms
Sage
- Single and double occupancy rooms with sinks in every room
- XL twin bed, desk, chair, and dresser with overhead shelving
- Newly renovated shared bathrooms
Hiett
- Doubles, quads, and suite-style rooms (two or four students per suite)
- Private bathroom in each room
- Common living space in each room
- Rooms include an XL twin bed, desk, chair, and dresser with overhead shelving for each resident
Apartment-Style, Group, & Small Residence Housing
Fox Commons
- 2-, 3-, and 4-person apartments (individual bedrooms)
- 1 bathroom in 2- and 3-bedroom apartments, 2 bathrooms in 4-person apartments
- Living room (couch, armchair, end table, coffee table)
- Kitchen (oven, stove, full-sized fridge, microwave, kitchen island or dining table and chairs
Group & Small Residence Housing
- 14 houses for student organizations
- 3 small residences
