Musicology Faculty

My research focuses on 18th-century keyboard music in performance, and I have published and presented on musical portraiture in keyboard works by Domenico Scarlatti and François Couperin, and on sympathetic collaborative accompaniment in C. P. E. Bach.

I am an ethnomusicologist and a member of the Musicology Department.

Erica Scheinberg is Visiting Assistant Professor of Music in the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, where she has taught since 2009 in the Department of Musicology and in the First-Year Studies program. In the Conservatory, she teaches the core musicology sequence MUCO 211-212 (Introducti
