the Boynton Chapel

Docent-led Chapel Tours

Handcrafted by Winifred and Donald Boynton between 1939 and 1947 on the grounds of their summer residence, the Boynton Chapel is modeled after the Garmo stave church at Maihaugen in Lillehammer, Norway. The chapel contains 41 hand-painted frescoes and numerous carved-wood furnishings. No reservations required, bus tours welcome.

Nature Hikes w/Jane Whitney

Whitney, Wisconsin’s top Master Naturalist, will lead hikes June through October that cover the geology, plants, and birds of the Björklunden property. This easy, one mile walk also features the solar field and wind turbine which are part of the Net Zero Björklunden Initiative. *no hikes on June 4 & 17

Forest Bathing Walks w/Jane Burress

A forest bathing walk or nature immersion is not a hike or workout. It is a slow, mostly silent walk, that invites participants to engage their senses and be present in the moment. Local refreshments follow. 1.5 miles, about 2.5 hours. Reservations required 48 hours in advance at forestbathingfinder.com.
