The individualized nature of the global studies program promotes the idea that there is no one path for every person to take, and life after the global studies program is similarly unique. The contemporary global perspective gained in the program supports any future career with an international component, and its interdisciplinary curriculum builds a broad base for future advanced study.

Lawrentians can go on to pursue careers in foreign service, global affairs,  communications, diplomacy, non-profit world services organizations, education, law, and government.

They can also pursue advanced degrees in political science, urban planning, law, business (MBA), environmental science, the social sciences, and medicine.

Recent Global Studies graduates have gone on to pursue graduate and professional school programs that include:

  • Erasmus University, Governance of Migration and Diversity Public Administration, M.P.A.
  • Yenching Academy at Peking University, China Studies, Masters
  • University of Chicago, Latin American and Caribbean Studies, Masters
