Need Volunteers?
Our program coordinators can help you develop and promote one-time or recurring volunteer opportunities for Lawrence students. We can also help you manage recruitment and registration by giving you access to GivePulse, our online volunteer management system. Submit a volunteer opportunity.
Need Tutors?
The VITAL program is a free service provided by Lawrence University that matches K12 students from the Appleton Area School District to Lawrence student volunteer tutors. Completion of Youth Protection Training and a background check is required of all volunteers. Tutors are required to meet with their tutees at least once a week for 30 minutes. Currently, this program is operating virtually using Google Meets and Zoom. Contact community.engagement@lawrence.edu for more information.
Building Your Capacity?
Our team can connect you with faculty across a variety of disciplines to develop capacity-building projects that can be embedded in academic courses. Through this reciprocal process, we work to center both your organizational needs and the learning objectives of a particular course, thereby allowing students to simultaneously learn from and support the greater Appleton community.
Need Student Employees?
We work closely with the Career Center to promote paid positions and internships to our students. We can also help you develop position descriptions, particularly for positions that satisfy the requirements of the federal community work-study program. Lawrence University is a Handshake campus; please use Handshake to submit full- and part-time positions, internships, or other employment opportunities.
