As Provost and Dean of the Faculty I am the chief academic officer of the University and a member of the President's Cabinet.
I'm a historian of modern Russia specializing in the Soviet period and the history of nationalism and ethnicity and have taught courses on all aspects of Russian history, the history of intelligence agencies and state security, and historical theory.
