Matthew is the first-year Practice Fellow in Spiritual and Religious Life, and he's passionate about helping others create individual spiritual practices that are fulfilling and beneficial to them. His professional interests include interfaith connections, religious syncretism, western esotericism, and nature-based theology. Holding a degree in music from the Lawrence University Conservatory, he is also passionate about the intersection of art and faith, and how using both can lead to a deeper understanding of the other. When not engaged in work or art, you can find him wandering the wild places of the world, sailing the seven seas (e.g. Lake Michigan), or long-distance backpacking.
