Christina Conn (Con Vivo teacher-conductor) grew up in Wausau, Wisconsin and graduated in 2005 with departmental honors from UW-Eau Claire, "Wisconsin's Singing University," with a Bachelor of Music Education, Choral/General Music Emphasis. Christina began her career in Oshkosh before moving to Appleton where she currently teaches choir at James Madison Middle School and Appleton East High School. She is a member of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA) and has been a clinician for Singing in Wisconsin at the middle and high school levels. She enjoys mentoring future music educators by welcoming practicum students and serving as a cooperating teacher. Conn has sung with the Eau Claire Master Singers, the Oshkosh Chamber Singers, and most recently, was the soprano section leader with newVoices here in Appleton. She is an advocate for the Comprehensive Musicianship through Performance (CMP) teaching model and has engaged in individual coaching to build her Culturally and Linguistically Responsive (CLR) skillset.
