About
Bridget Duffy-Ulrich is the conductor for the Lawrence Community Girl Choir Bel Canto ensemble. She primarily serves as the Director of Choirs of Oshkosh North High School where she teaches curricular choirs, musical theatre, music technology, a cappella clubs, the Madrigal Singers, and directs the annual musical. She serves as Co-Music Department Chair for the Oshkosh Area School District. She also serves part-time as the Chancel Choir co-conductor and organist at First Congregational Church of Oshkosh. Duffy-Ulrich previously served as the choir director for Lourdes Academy Middle and High School and as a vocal coach with the Badger State Girls Choir.
Duffy-Ulrich has her master's degree in music education at the University of Michigan and bachelor’s degree in music education from the University of Wisconsin Madison. In Madison she regularly performed with the Madison Bach Musicians as a mezzo soprano and studied with Mimmi Fulmer, Beverly Taylor, Bruce Gladstone, and John Chappell Stowe. Bridget regularly serves as a cooperating teacher with student teachers in the Fox Valley. She is a Herb Kohl Fellowship Recipient and received the Oshkosh Rudoy Excellence in Teaching Award in 2021. She is a member of the National Association for Music Education (NAfME) and serves as the WMEA Northeast Vice-President. As a member of the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA/WCDA), she served as the Next Direction Registration Chair from 2012-2017. Additionally, Duffy-Ulrich served as the Alto 2 coach for the WSMA State Honors Treble Choir in 2017 and 2018.
Duffy-Ulrich currently resides in Oshkosh with her husband and two young children. She is an active accompanist and organist, has previously sung with the Oshkosh Chamber Singers and New Voices, and has been a mezzo-soprano soloist with local orchestras and choral performances. In her spare time, Duffy-Ulrich enjoys spending time with family, traveling, reading, and cheering on the University of Wisconsin Badgers.
