Lawrence University has once again been included in The Princeton Review’s annual guide to best colleges.
Lawrence is featured in The Best 388 Colleges for 2023, highlighting top colleges across the country based on data and feedback the education services company collects on topics ranging from academic offerings to financial aid to student experiences.
This is the 31st edition of the college guide, searchable for free with site registration. The 388 schools are listed in alphabetical order.
“Since 1992, our annual Best Colleges guide has showcased the schools we recommend to applicants and their parents as the nation’s best for undergraduate academics,” Princeton Review editors said in a statement accompanying the release of the rankings. “It features only about 14% of America’s four-year colleges, and it has become one of the most popular of our 150 books.”
The Princeton Review also recognized Lawrence earlier this year as a Best School for Making an Impact, which measures on-campus experiences such as student engagement, service, government, and sustainability and then surveys alumni to rate how meaningful they believe their work life is. That ranking was initially released in April.
The latest Princeton Review ranking follows Lawrence’s placement on two other college rankings released earlier this month. The 2023 edition of the annual Fiske Guide to Colleges includes Lawrence on its list of 20 recommended “Best Buys” among all colleges and universities in the country. The “Best Buys” list is divided into 10 public and 10 private schools, with a focus on “outstanding educational value as determined by academic quality in relation to the net cost of attendance.”
Meanwhile, College Raptor’s 2023 college rankings placed Lawrence among the 25 Best Great Lakes Colleges. The region covers Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin, and the ranking includes public and private schools of all sizes.
