Helen Boyd Kramer is the I.D.E.A.S. Division Affinity Groups Coordinator and Gender and Sexuality Diversity Coordinator. She also teaches Summer Institute and First Year Studies and serves as Posse 17's mentor.
Kramer is an author and blogger who enjoys teaching writing and considers herself a creative problem-solver. Called after years of teaching to work in Lawrence's diversity office (I.D.E.A.S.), they enjoy being able to interact with faculty, staff, and students in furthering our goals of inclusion, diversity, equity, and anti racism. Kramer can be found in various places around campus - she is a long time faculty advisor for the student LGBTQIA+ group to the co-chair of the Pride Network ERG on campus, and creating a sense of belonging is her specialty. An accidental academic, Kramer hails from Brooklyn, NY, and lives in Appleton with her partner actor Rachel Crowl and is staff to only two cats.
