Emma Goodman has always been passionate about using art to experiment and express herself and wanted to continue that exploration in college. Then, during her first term at Lawrence, she took Intro to Art History and was immediately hooked.

At the beginning of this term, Lawrence’s first electric vehicle (EV) charging station was installed in the Memorial Chapel parking lot. Capable of charging two vehicles at once, the station is fully operational and can be accessed through the ChargePoint app.

Like many first-years, Cristyn Oliver found her transition to college difficult amidst the pandemic. But the cross country and track standout has found her stride in athletics and in the classroom during her sophomore year at Lawrence.

While the pandemic has forced some adjustments the past two years, most of the hallmarks of the Great Midwest Trivia Contest remain—ridiculously obscure questions, the oddly specific starting time, useless prizes, and sleep deprivation, among others.

George Mavrakis '19 has turned his fascination with the saltwater aquarium hobby into a growing business enterprise. In December, he reached 1 million subscribers to his YouTube channel, CoralFish12g.

Kenya Earl’s latest achievement was breaking the career scoring record in Lawrence’s 66-48 win on Jan. 15. She now stands at 1,489 points. It's a journey that almost never happened.

Beginning immediately, Lawrence students can ride Valley Transit buses for free with their student ID. The pilot program is a partnership between Lawrence University and the public transportation service that provides access to Appleton and surrounding communities.

Travis Dillon ’21 is the recipient of 2022 AMS-MAA-SIAM Frank and Brennie Morgan Prize for Outstanding Research in Mathematics by an Undergraduate Student. It's a prestigious honor for the student who is now in graduate school at MIT.
