This time of year, Door County teeters on the brink of change as over 1 million travelers make plans to visit this inviting peninsula during the coming months. I bet I’m not the only resident wrestling with a combination of excitement, spring fever, and anticipation for the summer months to come.
I marvel at the remarkable elasticity of this region and its residents and how it transforms with the weather from a network of rural villages to a vibrant economic and cultural corridor supporting a half-billion-dollar, visitor-driven economy that employs over 3,000 tourism workers.
I feel so fortunate that across the seasons, Björklunden plays an interconnected role with students, residents, visitors, and amazing nonprofits which enrich the Door County community and its vibrant local businesses. Whether it’s a seminar experience, trail hikes, Boynton Chapel tours, Door Shakespeare plays, DKAF performances, gala events, or hosting community conversations, this campus offers something for everyone.
We look forward to you joining us as we head into a season blooming with abundance and creativity; so welcome to the seasonal changes and all the inspiration they bring!
