Center for Academic Success

Services provided by the CAS include:

Academic Coaching: Providing one-on-one support for students interested in strategies related to motivation, procrastination, goal setting, problem solving, and more
Academic Procedures:
- Discussing course concerns and best academic options
- Completing petition forms
- Arranging an incomplete in a course (for those eligible who need extra time to finish a course because of an emergency at the end of the term)
- Taking time off from or leaving Lawrence
- Other academic concerns
Academic Success Skills: Providing one-on-one support for students interested in developing strategies related to schedule management, accountability, reading and note taking, test preparation, and organization
Multilingual Learning Resources and Support: Building and refining English skills in academic English for speakers of English as a second language
Tutoring: Assisting students with writing, presentations and understanding course content
Courses & Workshops: Offering UNIC 117 Academic Well-Being: Success Theories in Practice and other courses and workshops that address and promote academic success

All students are encouraged to take advantage of the CAS's resources and expertise to maximize their potential and success at Lawrence.

Walk-In Hours

The Center for Academic Success is located on the 2nd floor of the Mudd Library.

Weeks 1-7:  1:30-3:00 PM Tuesdays
Week 8:  1:30-3:00 PM Tuesday & Thursday
Week 9:  1:30-3:00 PM Tuesday, Thursday & Friday
Week 10 & Finals:  1:30-3:00 PM Daily (Monday-Friday)
