Where and how can I burn a data CD?
Locations to burn CDs on campus:
- Macintosh computers in Con Lab
- Macintosh computers in ITC (Library 214)
- Windows workstation at ITS Helpdesk (Library 201)
Burning instructions for Macintosh computers in Con lab and ITC:
- Insert a blank write-able CD in CD drive.
- Click OK on the window that pops up. A CD icon will appear on the desktop.
- Drag and drop your files onto the CD icon on desktop.
- After all files are added to the CD, drag your CD to the trash. The trash can icon will change to Burn Disc.
- Click Burn
Burning instructions for Windows computer at ITS Helpdesk:
- Open the CD burning software: Start-Programs-Roxio Easy CD Creator 5-Applications-Easy CD Creator 5
- Create new data cd project: File-New CD Project-Data CD
- Drag files you want to burn to the project window in the
lower right window. - Click Record.
- Click Start Recording.
Where and how can I scan an image or document?
There are public scanners on the first floor of the library and in the ITC (Library 214).

How do I create a PDF file?
In order to create a PDF file, you must have Adobe Acrobat Standard installed on your computer. Note: This software program is different than the free program used to view Adobe PDF files, called Adobe Reader.
To verify that the computer you are using has Adobe Acrobat Standard installed, locate: (Windows) Start-Programs-Accessories-Adobe Acrobat Standard, or (Macintosh) Application-Adobe Acrobat Standard.
