Lawrence University is exempt from Wisconsin sales and use tax. Therefore, when purchasing something from a vendor, inform the vendor of our tax-exempt status. If the vendor needs a tax-exempt certificate, contact the accounting supervisor.
If something is purchased through Lawrence University and then resold, sales tax must be collected unless the buyer is tax-exempt.
