Michael Orr, Professor of Art History, is the winner of the 2005-2006 Freshman Studies Teaching Award. Professor Orr has won the respect of all those involved with Freshman Studies. Students praise his command of the works and his ability to provide helpful instruction in writing, while colleagues admire his commitment to the program and his insightful lectures on artists from Hiroshige to Picasso.
