ANNOUNCEMENT OF FACULTY POSITION – FALL, 2010
CHORAL DIRECTOR

RESPONSIBILITIES:                         Primary responsibilities will be directing the Viking Chorale and Lawrence University Concert Choir. Classroom teaching in conducting, choral music education, and other related areas will be assigned as needed.  Additional responsibilities include all service related activities associated with a tenure-track position including student advising, admissions-related responsibilities, recruiting, developing relationships with music educators, and participating in committee assignments.

QUALIFICATIONS:                          Outstanding conductor and teacher.  Desire to work in a collaborative choral environment.  Appropriate terminal degree.  Although this is a Conservatory position, an understanding and strong support of the ideals and goals of a broad liberal arts education is highly preferred.       

APPOINTMENT:                                Tenure track.
