APPLETON, Wis. -- Two Lawrence University men's soccer players have been chosen for the All-Midwest Conference team.
Defenders Nico Walker (Ashland, Ore./Ashland) and Colin Vize (Pleasant Prairie, Wis./Hyde School) were both named to the second team.
Walker, a senior, was chosen for the all-conference team for the third consecutive season. A first-team pick in 2008 and a second-team selection in 2007, Walker was a key to the Lawrence defense. The Vikings allowed only 1.6 goals per game on the season. Offensively, Walker picked up three assists.
Vize, a junior, was named to the all-conference team for the first time. Another critical part of the Lawrence defense, Vize helped the Vikings record three shutouts on the season. Vize picked up one goal this season and now has three for his career.
Lawrence finished the season with a 3-9-5 record, including a 1-4-4 mark in Midwest Conference play.
