There are many ways alumni can support Lawrence without a large time commitment. We also provide opportunities for those who would like to be more involved in the admissions process.

Alumni Admissions Volunteer Opportunities
(In italics, we have noted when a majority of this commitment is likely to take place.)
Alumni volunteers directly assist in the recruitment of students through participation in the following activities. If you would like to get involved, please fill out our online registration form. Or contact Linda Fuerst, Alumni Volunteer Coordinator.
Alumni Calling, Emailing, and Note-Writing
Alumni contact admitted students to offer congratulations on their recent admission to Lawrence. (We now have three contact options: calling students, emailing them, or writing a congratulatory note.) We will match you to a student based on geography or your major/career interests. Please make sure to specify these choices on the Information Update Sheet. This contact will happen in the months of February, March, and April.
Attending Local College Fairs
We receive many invitations to college fairs each year, some of which we are unable to accommodate with staff members. Alumni representation at such fairs helps us reach a greater number of prospective students than would other wise be possible. These events typically occur in September, October, or November, then again in March and April.
Alumni Interviews
Once in a while, students who are not able to visit campus request alumni interviews. We will provide a list of suggested questions to guide you through the interview. These meetings can take place any time during the year, but are not often requested.
Receptions
Receptions may be formal sessions conducted by admissions officers such as "Evening with Lawrence" presentations or counselor breakfasts. Informal parties vary in type and timing, but typically are held in alumni homes. These receptions can be held anytime during the year.
*Obviously, the viability of each activity varies greatly from one geographic area to another.
