- Each year, approximately 35 Lawrence students engage in practice-teaching in schools throughout the Fox Cities. About 600 Lawrence alumni are employed as teachers or administrators at all levels in Wisconsin schools.
- Produced and performed by Lawrence students, the Chem Show introduces chemistry to area school children through slides, skits, music, and costumes. Each year, 2,000
students from the Fox Valley attend the show.
- At the annual Commencement ceremony, Lawrence presents the Outstanding Teaching in Wisconsin Award to distinguished high school teachers. Recipients are nominated by graduating seniors of the college and receive modest financial prizes to share with their high schools.
- The Summer Institute for Secondary School Teachers is an annual workshop serving approximately 160 teachers who offer Advanced Placement or other accelerated courses for high school students capable of college-level work.
- The Mielke Summer Institute offers 25 teachers, grades K-12, from the Appleton and Shawano public schools a week-long professional development seminar focused on social and educational issues.
- The Teacher Idea Exchange brings teachers together to identify the individual and collective problems they face in their classrooms. The program's eight "exchange sessions" attract nearly 150 public and private school teachers from the greater Appleton area.
